Le 29 février 2012 avait lieu la cérémonie des NME Awards 2012 à Londres. Comme vous pouvez vous en douter, c’est donc un prix organisé par le magazine du même nom, le NME ! Comme toute cérémonie de ce genre, beaucoup de nominés, seulement quelques vainqueurs. Enfin une cérémonie où Adele n’est pas primée ! Les fans de Lana Del Rey peuvent aussi repartir bredouille. Et toc !
La statuette des NME Awards se distingue de toute autre statuette du genre, puisque c’est en effet un doigt d’honneur fièrement levé ! Les valeurs sûres ont été récompensées avec ce magnifique trophée, de Kasabian à The Vaccines en passant par The Horrors et même Noel Gallagher qui a déclaré : « À tous les groupes que j’ai inspirés. Ne me remerciez pas. Ça me fait plaisir ! »
